Dear Neighbour

Dear Neighbour, the Campaign is on!

Dear Neighbour,

My name is Cynthia Moore, and I'm thrilled to let you know that I am seeking the United Conservative Party nomination to represent Calgary-Elbow.

For me, being an MLA comes down to something simple: being there for the people who call this community home. Your representative should know the neighbourhood, understand the challenges families and local businesses face, listen carefully, and be a strong voice for their riding when decisions are being made in Edmonton.

Calgary-Elbow has a proud history, and I am so proud to call this community my home for most of my life. It has been represented by leaders who helped shape Alberta, and I believe our community deserves to have that kind of strong voice and influence once again. We need someone who is visible, accessible, and working hard for our community every day—not just during an election campaign.

I need your help by purchasing a membership via the QR code at the bottom of this letter.

Like many families, I'm concerned about the rising cost of living, making sure Albertans can access quality health care when they need it, and ensuring parents have meaningful choice in their children's education. I also want to ensure that our inner city schools get the attention they deserve, with aging facilities and crowded classrooms being top of mind for the families who live here, as they have been for me, having raised my son in our community.

I support the work that this government is doing to make Alberta more affordable, improve access to health care through innovation and choice, and put parents back at the centre of decisions made in the classroom. I want to be a strong voice in government to help deliver those priorities while always standing up for the unique needs of our community.

Giving back has always been part of who I am. My parents taught me the importance of serving others, and they spent their lives making our community a better place. My mother, Pat, started the first women's shelter in Alberta and my late father, Sherrold, was a lifelong philanthropist who was at the forefront of starting corporate responsibility in the energy sector.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in Alberta's charitable, arts, and government sectors, serving on boards, leading organizations, and helping communities grow stronger. Now having served as the President of the United Conservative Party, and now as the Chair of the Alberta Real Estate Regulator, and the Chair of the Alberta Foundation of the Arts, I know that the best results come from listening, working together, and following through on commitments.

I'm asking for your support because I believe Calgary-Elbow deserves someone who knows this community, understands what matters to the people who live here, and has the experience to be an effective advocate in government.

To make that happen, I need your support. Please visit cynthiamoore.ca or via the QR below to purchase a $10 UCP membership, volunteer, donate, or get involved in the campaign.

Kindest Regards,

Cynthia P. Moore
